Dernek Türk hukuk sisteminin evrensel ölçülere ulaştırılması amacıyla 2003 yılında faaliyete başlamıştır. Yedi kurucu üye ile faaliyete başlayan dernek şu an itibariyle 200’e yaklaşan üyesiyle mevcut hukuk sistemi içerisindeki yasalara aykırı her türlü faaliyete karşı mücadele edilmesi ve sosyal yaşam içerisindeki değişimlere uygun hukuki yeniliklerin anlaşılması ve toplumumuz içerisinde uygulanması gayesiyle faaliyetlerine kesintisiz bir şekilde devam etmektedir.

Farklı meslek gruplarında çalışan hukukçuları bünyesinde toplayan dernek, amaçlarını gerçekleştirmek adına Ankara’da uluslararası hüviyete sahip bir merkezde faaliyetlerini sürdürmektedir.
Kısa geçmişine rağmen çıkarttığı Hukuk ve Hayat Dergisi, yürüttüğü eğitim faaliyetleri, gerçekleştirdiği ulusal ve uluslararası projeleri, eğitime katkı sağlama adına yürüttüğü burs faaliyetleri ile saygın, tarafsız ve üreten bir sivil toplum örgütü olma adına emin adımlarla ilerlemektedir.

HISTORY OF THE ASSOCIATION
The Association started to display activities in 2003 for the purpose of carrying Turkish legal system to universal standards. The Association- which started to display activities with seven founding members and now reached up to nearly 200 members- continuously carries out activities for the purpose of fighting against every kind of actions against law in the current legal system and for our society to understand and implement legal reforms that comply with the changes in social life.
For achieving its aims, the Association- which embodies legal practitioners from different kinds of professional fields- displays activities in a center with international capacity.
Despite its recent history, the Association proceeds with confident steps to be a reputable, equitable and effective non-governmental organization by publishing Law and Life Journal, carrying out educational activities, national and international projects, and activities for providing scholarships.
